The saying a picture is worth a thousand words applies to this size comparison. People will talk numbers but until you actually see the sizes of the various flagship phones beside each other, it’s almost impossible to know. You have to visualize. You have to see side-by-side comparisons to know the full story.
So take a gander at these comparisons as done by Tech Chap. We will discuss below the photos. We highly recommend you view the screenshots in full size to appreciate the comparisons properly.
So keep in mind that the Zenfone 9 is the same size as the Zenfone 8. The Apple iPhone 13 is looking to be a very similar size to the Zenfone 9. Wouldn’t you agree? We take this as a positive. You can see that the Zenfone 9 vs. iPhone 13 Mini, the size difference is quite stark. What you need to know is that when it comes to the Android slew of flagship phones, ASUS is offering up a unique size. Yes, in the Android world, the Zenfone 9 is small. However, let’s not suggest that the Zenfone 9 is small to the point of diminishing returns. It looks to be about on par with the Apple iPhone 13 main model.
The Zenfone 9 is small but it’s not a the cost of usability. It’s safe to say something as small as the iPhone 13 Mini is at the point where it’s going to limit your enjoyment of the device. You cannot say the same for the size of the Zenfone 9. ASUS seems to have found a perfect balance point. They had strict guidelines for the device width so that you can swipe with one hand.
So what do you think about these Zenfone 9 size comparisons? As expected? Shocking? What? Let us know in the comment section below please!
I have pre-ordered mine from the UK ASUS site but I remain very very disappointed and perplexed that ASUS have again not included an SD card slot. This aspect was one of the things ASUS (along with Sony) was the bastion of. Not all of us WANT to use cloud storage and essentially allow the whole world to see our photos, and also cloud tends to mean “give us money if you want anything like a practical level of storage space”. When making a phone as well balanced as ASUS phones, you are going to be loading it up with both large games AND a lot of photos and video – SD card storage is a MUST.
Fingers crossed they will think again on this aspect for future phones.
